Transfer Training Videos Update 03/2022

Transfer Training will no longer be available as a Live Webinar. This is now an online training course. Advance Transaction will still be available as a Live Webinar for the time being, but eventually will also be an online course. If you are taking these classes as a refresher, these videos are available in our Support Center under Training Videos. Some videos are still being updated, but for the ones that are in the Transfer Training, those have been updated to the newest videos.

2023 Quagga Muscle Sticker Return

DMV is changing the process for Quagga Muscle Stickers beginning 01/01/2022 and the 2023 Muscle Sticker year.

  • BPA will no longer charge or issue Quagga Muscle stickers during a transaction.
  • The issuance of the Vessel renewal sticker will be a separate process from the issuance of the Quagga Muscle sticker.
  • BPAs will continue to issue Vessel renewal stickers in our system.
  • Vessel Owners will need to go to the DMV website to get their Quagga Muscle sticker. It will be an online process only.

DMV has asked you to return all your 2023 Quagga to SambaSafety by 09/07/2021. There is not a way to return them through the system, so please place them in a separate envelope “Attn: Quagga Sticker Return” and return them with next week’s bundles.


Reminder! Odometer Requirement

Effective January 1, 2021 odometer is required for vehicles less than 20 model years beginning with the model year 2010. The odometer compliance area must be filled out and signed by both the seller and the buyer. Make sure this is the mileage you key into the EVR System.

EVR System Updates

All forms are now populating for Transfers, Nonresident and Misc. Originals. You can always stay updated on forms release by checking the box in front of the completed transaction and click on “Reprint Forms” “DMV Forms”

Improvements to Lienholders

We have enhanced the lienholder function making adding a lienholder easier.

If there is not a lienholder, select no and move on to your next tab.

You will notice on a PTI, the print title function is bold to remind you to ask your customer if they would like a title and the form you need.

 When a lien holder is required, select yes.

Type the name in the search ELT or search lienholder boxes and information will appear for you to select. 

We kept the feature of your lienholder (Account Maintenance- Lienholders) choose the dropdown and click on the lienholder. If your list of saved lienholders is long, type the name in the search bar.  These names will also appear if you they the name in the search lienholder box (shown above).

There is a search feature for all ELT liens and your lienholders list. Click on the show link to display a search function for lienholders. Remember this is informational only and reference to finding your correct lienholders with the first line of the address. Once you find you lienholder type the ELT number in the search ELT box to populate.

Automatic Void Request

You can now put in a request online to void a critical transaction- you no longer need to call EVR Support!!!

If the critical error is identified before 4:30 pm on the day it was keyed, please submit a request to void your transaction. We will work with DMV to have the transaction voided. If we cannot get the transaction voided, if it is after hours or on the weekend please fax all documents to:(916)-852-8010.

A critical is defined as:

  1. Wrong Registered Owner
  2. Missing a Registered Owner
  3. Missing the Lienholder
  4. Keying the wrong Lienholder
  5. Keying a Lienholder when there should be none
  6. Transferred the Wrong Vehicle

To submit your request, you will need to go to the top of your navigation and select “Search Transactions.”

Once you are in the Search Transactions Page you will select “Search” to look for today’s transactions.

When your transactions load, you will be selecting the transactions you are going to be requesting a void for, and selecting “Request a DMV Void”

You will need to select from the drop-down menu the reason for your void request.

Once you select your reason. You will get a pop-up window verify if you are sure you want to void transaction. Once you have verified your request, this will send a request to DMV for your void.

Your void can take anywhere from 15 min to a few hours, depending on how quickly DMV reviews your request. If your void is not approved you will need to do a correction on your transaction.


Automatic Dealer Adds- Fast and Easy!!

Dealers will be added automatically to your account when you add them to the “dealer” entry screen under “Account Maintenance”- you no longer need to call or email EVR Support!!!

  • Search dealer allows you to search for the dealer by name or by dealer number. Select the dealer and click the add button.
  • This will auto-generate an email to the DMV dealer adds unit and they will add the dealer to your account.
  • Dealers are typically added within an hour of sending the email to DMV.
  • Dealers will not be added on weekdays after 4:30pm, weekends or holidays but will be added by DMV on the next business day.
